How Does Sleepytime Tea Work

2010_08_11 2010_08_07 2010_08_04 Peña Aneto

To listen:

6-7-8 Weekend of August in which we climbed to the roof of the Pyrenees, Aneto.
The truth is that the Benasque area despite having the largest concentration of 3000s in the Pyrenees, is very iniquity, and 5-6 hours drive discourage anyone.
Anyway, we left on Friday, Day 6 at lunch time to be in the parking ford Hospital around 7 pm, and we take bus go up to the Besurta and then to the shelter La Renclusa.
The truth is that the shelter very well and we play over 6-bedroom with private bathroom, so it almost almost like we're in a hotel. The next day, Saturday 7, the idea was to make the Aneto and if possible, on Sunday, going down, the Renclusa, Portillon up to Benasque and from there to Salbaguardia.
times for issues (I do not take the car, and Gorka wanted to be a Sunday afternoon at home), the end did not climb the last 300m to Salbaguardia and stayed at the Benasque Portillon. That allowed for lunch we were in Benasque and we could do some shopping in Barrabes;) before returning home. Amaia and Ibai meanwhile, went to try and directamene Salbaguardia Sunday quietly dropped the refugees and went to spend the morning at Benasque.
Well, no more and let me roll up with the repor ... Comments because it is an area few archi-known, but pictures ... All! ;)

Let the pictures ...
We arrived by bus to La Besurta. The truth is that the social fauna that abound there was at least curious ....

prepare things

it not be said that there was no

Txiringito Parce a beach, but this time in the mountains ... you were selling soft drinks, postcards ... had tables and chairs ... and even deckchairs!

This is clearly not "? In addition, it has lost. Just follow the human pilgrimage up or down ...

glances back. Salbaguardia That is where we wanted to go on Sunday. When I commented, the rest are a smile came loose ... Not because ...

But that is? "? Paved road! No, if it seems the way to the Cola de Caballo de Ordesa!! Ainsss ... Mount is not what it was ...

Another look back ...

Well, in 40 minutes you reach the Refuge
The Renclusa

registered and we asked to see if we wanted dinner. We said no, we had been dining, but in the kitchens ... god! You can prepare food for a regiment!

The dining room is so like big boy ...

And it's always important to stay hydrated. And more at this altitude. Let's see if we are going to altitude sickness, that just 6 hours we were at sea level
...;) And

poster next to the reception of refugees and illustration of the route to follow to reach the Aneto.

And the envelope, which plays tomorrow night (at 5 am the alarm went off.)
We played in the room with a pair of Catalans, Granollers, who gave us some very good indications for the rise to Aneto they just had done on Friday. A greeting for them from here

SATURDAY 7. 3404m ANETO
After we have breakfast and prepare to leave.

Oh what excitement it to walk at night and in front ...;)

Not really is that it rarely makes you walk at night ... You have no visual and you just follow the front or failing marks (if any). We left early and was curious to look back and see the front row. And luckily, this stretch as we went at night because if we do during the day, we do not! In the fall, when we saw where we had gone ... jooooooooooooooooooooder!

But soon he began to dawn. But the team kept moving in the shadows ...

has clearly here and a little more and is right down the shelter. Go rocky!

The sun begins to impinge on the area of \u200b\u200bPico del Alba

Peaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaso stones! Of those that make you continually quadriceps pull. And I would like to see how this all in winter when snow-capped 2 meters ...

And to think the initial plan was to have done on Sunday Pico del Alba ... thinking about it at this point I was laughing ...

It never ends! Good thing up there, theoretically the Superior Portillon over

And here is where we must turn left to reach the Portillon. If we followed the front would reach the glacier and the pass Maladeta the
Rimay

And there is! Aneto! We have reached the Superior Portillon and now plays off to go to the trace that is mid-slope

look back. That's step

And here a Aneto posed with the principle in paramosm point where, like other 20-30 people, to drink and eat, and get the tapas (later by loitering removing and walking no crampons, Tocharian some sections in mixed)

Solos, which says we will not be alone. By the way, Amaia and Ibai had remained a little behind and despite being 20-30 min waiting, there appeared and Gorka and I decided to go, not stay cold.

Let's go there. Touches the tranche more comfortable ... more or less flat and the glacier-ice field ....

until we reached the hill of Coronas and we presented the latest ramp .... Here the thing and Pindi and we will put the twins to work and put the Red lived

The truth is it was head down and come one step after another until we reached the snow-free area where these people are, where we take off our tapas because I had passed the toughest stretch and continue climbing to reach the famous Step Muhammad
Paso
Muhammad

And here the undersigned ...

And it's time to consider passing or not passing ... Gorka was not clear and decided not to risk it and stayed in the antecima. I instead decided that once uploaded to here, I would not be within walking distance ... And before I got the scrum of people (which is actually more overwhelmed) and saw that the topic was quiet encourage me to go. I must admit that the worst happens to go to the back of the head. And is that going, I went solo and had no references, and returning, I met with a "caravan" of people returning from the summit, and it was easier. Only you had to look out where ponia feet and hands in front.
And that that step is easy ... well ... I do not say ... Maybe if quitasemos to the 100,000 people who are there, would not be so stressful, but the truth is that another small step had some not suitable for people not accustomed. In fact, then, when they went Amaia and Ibai, Ibai pass ran out, because there was a group that was putting a handrail and such was the jam of people formed, which was trying to pass bastane dangerous ... But hey, I do pass I can say that ...

If Snapshot = If Cima. Aneto. 3404m. Roof of the Pyrenees!

And the view from the top ... Incredible! North Face Peak
Crowns and Maladeta

Phew ... here and I miss ... who wants to start naming ...

and plays back ... I join this group of people and re-cross the pass of Muhammad

That is the antecima and that with open arms is Gorka

And once you cross a certain point, you do you put photos ... As you can see, the positions are not entirely orthodox ... or whether that happened on all fours I did not qualify as easy ... and windy, less (perhaps more committed than the point)

All
Muhammad Paso

And back in the descent to the Collado Coronas. With Amaia and Ibai we met at the point where before we had removed the tapas. Amaia decided that rose higher and stayed with us while Ibai ascended to Step

Mindful of the pilgrimage of people who went there in the background ...

In the Collado de Coronas

a skid and you can be very fresh as the self-arrest, if not, pick you up down there

Yes, yes ... do not look much and keep going ...

peek behind ... Y. .. all those people directly by the snowfield vaja??

Pulling zoom ...

And just before the Superior Portillon, stop for take off our tapas.

From this point until we reached the Portillon, there was a moment that we saw were falling rocks and not just small and quickly slid by the snow field.

Come on, that if you get it, you strip you like a bolo ... Portillon

Superior. It is already accumulated fatigue ... And yet we have to download all the quarry ...

After crossing over (joe, sounds like this) we see the crest of the Maladetas.

And come on, pa rocky bottom. Gorka was continued by the stones as I find a stretch of snow field to lower more comfortable ...

I kaguen whore! It never ends! And the refugees is still down there ... Good thing this morning we have uploaded this night ...

Refu sight! Finally!

I can not believe ... It is 4 pm and we have been
10h activity

After rosette spray of rigor, and as yet had no time for dinner. Visit "tourist" around. In the chapel

Cryotherapy river. That if only your feet, not how some brave (I post not caught a cold in the winter)

If

water was so cold, that would not be a bad place to take a dip

Visit the monolith erected by the CEC (Centre of Catalonia Hiking )
Salbaguardia Views

. "We will go up tomorrow?

zoom Pulling, The Besurta

And after dinner, as we are healthy people, rather than a beer ... cafe rod. :) Good thing the picture does not appear ...;)
patxaran

photo of the room. Amaia and Ibai arrived 2hours later than us. And that was lowered to Amaia criminal and under very slow ... especially in the rocky area

A sleep and snoring, and tomorrow, to try

Salbaguardia
